Wahoo's Fish Taco

Had lunch with a friend today on Santana Row at Wahoo's Fish Taco. I was expecting something a along the lines of Rubio's. I was a little bit disappointed. The menu offers a nice variety to choose from but surprisingly only 3 items that include tacos. They even have brown rice for those looking to dine on the healthier side. The menu is posted up on the wall before you reach the register, giving you time to decide before you actually reach the register. You don't know that if you order brown rice, that there is an up-charge until you reach the register and actually pay.

I ordered the the Maui Bowl (r) with brown rice and black beans. My friend ordered the Quesadilla with chicken. When the food arrived, my plate looked very appetizing, his on the other hand was very plain. A quesadilla, cut into 4 pieces with a 2 scoops of sour cream. No garish, no salsa, zilch.

The Carne Asada was over seasoned and had too much grizzle. The brown rice was cooked just right and the black beans had good flavor. Over all, I wasn't pleased.
