Jack's Prime, Burgers & Shakes

If you're looking for a "nostalgic" place for a great burger and great service, stop by Jack's Prime in San Mateo. My roommates and I were out running errands and decided to stop in for lunch. When you walk in you are warmly greeted and quickly seated at comfy booths along huge windows that face El Camino Real. Their menu is basic as their name says "Burgers & Shakes" but these aren't your ordinary run of the mill burgers. They create appetite busters such as the Angry Cowboy, Maytag Blue Ribbon, Phoenix from the Flames, etc. They also offer Sweet Potato Fries, Fried Pickles and Garlic Fries as appetizers.

I ordered the Angry Cowboy with a side of Sweet Potato Fries. I wasn't disappointed, as the menu states, the Angry Cowboy is spicy but not a mouth burning, can't enjoy your food spicy. The Sweet Potato fries were crisp on the outside and moist on the inside, their cool and creamy Tiger Ranch dipping sauce complemented them very well.

My roommates ordered Great with Beer and Jack's Prime Classic Cheeseburger. Both of them were please with the choices.

I look forward to returning here and trying more of their delicious burger creations!
