The Old Spaghetti Factory

This was our second visit but the first time to actually dine here. A few months ago, my roommates and I walked in and waited at the hostess podium for several minutes and were never greeted. We walked out.

We decided to give OSF a second chance and I'm glad we did. I ordered the Toasted Cheese Ravioli for the 3 of us to share as an appetizer thinking we would get maybe 2 each. The plate arrived with 12 golden brown toasted ravioli. Crunchy outside and cheesy inside. The marinara dipping sauce was good, but could have used a little bit more.

For my entrĂ©e, I ordered the Italian Sausage with Meat Sauce on spaghetti. When the plate arrived it looked like it could have used a quick QA check before it left the kitchen. The rim of the plate had some sauce smudges plus it looked as if it was just tossed on without any thought. I was also expecting sausage pieces not a whole link, not that it was bad. The pasta was cooked perfectly but the overall flavor was bland and lacking any depth of italian seasoning.

We did not know this until three-forths of the way through our meal, but our server had been on break and we were being taken care of by the breaker. Our server returned to serve our dessert, a scoop of spumoni, introducing himself and the breaker, a little backwards but okay.

The appetizer was good enough to want me to go back and give it another try. I'm a sucker for good italian and hoping for the best.
